How drinks got their names


In general makers of alcoholic beverages have some of the worst and most boring homepages on the net. Which says something about their products I guess. Hey, if they drink their own stuff and come up with stuff as boring as their homepages...

An international beer company has a terminally ill homepage, a famous cognac which had great ads uses the net for a display of company blandness, most breweries are only fun if you visit their fans' dedicated sites. Only champagne sites are generally well done. Maybe it's to do with the sparkle in their liquid?
